What are you Thankful for?

November 15th, 2010

As Thanksgiving draws near, people stop to think what they are thankful for. I don’t like to wait until the turkey is in front of me to think about what I am blessed with.

So as I ask myself “What am I thankful for?”

My reply is:
I am thankful that I get to see my kids grow up and be the main person that guides that process…through the good, bad, and the ugly. (isn’t that what being a mom is…. )
My home based business with Women’s Dream Team has allowed me the freedom to do this.

What are you thankful for?

Veteran’s Day 2010

I heard a song on the radio today in tribue of Veteran’s Day and it really sums it up.
It is from Billy Rae Cyrus.
Some Gave All lyrics

I knew a man called him Sandy Kane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero was he
Left a boy, came back a man
Still many just don’t understand
About the reasons we are free

I can’t forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cries
As he said these words to me

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all

Now Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man

Love your country and live with pride
And don’t forget those who died America can’t you see

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all

And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall, yes recall
Some gave all

Some gave all

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

That time is coming………winter weather. Maybe it is snow, maybe ice, maybe just rain but it will be difficult to commute in.
Is your car ready? Do you have the right tires on your car? Your brakes fixed? Your snow brush in the car?
Don’t wait until the weather is here to prepare.
Now if you are lucky enough to not have to commute to work, that is great. But if you have to commute… don’t wait until you wake up one morning to find snow on the ground and realize you are not ready.
