Spring is coming early

Spring Flowers always make me smile.

I can’t believe that in New York we have spring flowers in FEBRUARY!  Mother Nature is a little confused!  The Global Climate is really playing tricks on Mother Nature.

This year I have had the luxury of tending to my flower garden (in between the rain) while it is still February due to the flexibility of working from home with Women’s Dream Team. I hope that you have had time, or will make time, to enjoy in nature’s wonder!

What is your favorite flower?

Mine are Lilacs, Gerber Daisies, Black Eyed Susan, and Hibiscus

I heard a song on the radio today in tribue of Veteran’s Day and it really sums it up.
It is from Billy Rae Cyrus.
Some Gave All lyrics

I knew a man called him Sandy Kane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero was he
Left a boy, came back a man
Still many just don’t understand
About the reasons we are free

I can’t forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cries
As he said these words to me

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all

Now Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man

Love your country and live with pride
And don’t forget those who died America can’t you see

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all

And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall, yes recall
Some gave all

Some gave all

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

What other songs do you know that honor veterans?

Who are You?

Women function in so many different roles during their lifetime. There have been articles written about the fact that if we were paid an actual salary for the positions that we hold it would be a six digit figure. We are an amazing breed. Realizing that, do you ever feel lost in those roles?

Who are you?

Have you ever asked yourself that question? I have. As much as I love my family, I wonder sometimes who I am. As women we spend so much time pleasing others and caring for others we allow ourselves to be lost in the shuffle. What we don’t realize is, if we don’t find ourselves no one else will find us! We should have something that we can take pride in that is just ours. I was faced with that decision one day when I went in search of something I could accomplish that would give me personal fulfillment, income, friendships and accomplishment. I was so grateful when I found Women’s Dream Team. I am building a home based business for women that will last me a lifetime. This is a business I can pass on to my children. I have made friends with some of the most amazing women. You may ask what makes this team so different from the others. My answer would be respect.

Who am I? I am a successful business builder who loves my family enough to remember who I am.

Who are you?

I just ran across a great story that illustrates how everyone needs to be ready to change their course….

On a dark and foggy night in the midst of a stormy sea, the captain of a ship spotted what seemed to be the light from another ship in the distance. He quickly went to his station and flashed a message across the water, ” Change your course twenty degrees north. No sooner had he done this than a reply flashed back, “Change your course twenty degrees south.” The captain became angry and flashed back, “I am a captain and I commander in the naval forces, and I say change your course twenty degrees north.” The responding message was signaled back, ” I am a seaman first class with no commander, and I say change your course twenty degrees south.: This infuriated the captain who now signaled, ” I am in a battleship, and I say change your course twenty degrees north.” There was a brief pause as the angry captain awaited the reply. Finally the response came, ” I say change your course twenty degrees south… I am in a lighthouse!”

We at Women’s Dream Team can help you adjust to change and lead you on a road of financial freedom for women!

Who Has Time to Cook?

January 26th, 2015

Being a on line business woman, a mom and raising 2 very active daughter’s, doesn’t leave a lot of time for other things. Cooking nutritious meals that the kids will actually eat is a very difficult task. Even more difficult is coming up with the time to make the menus, buy the food and then prepare it. Whew! We won’t even talk about the laundry, the cleaning and that’s before you can even get dressed in the morning.

Weekly Cooking (I cook it all on the weekend) has been a life saver for me. I set aside one day a week to plan a week’s worth of meals for my family. Then I make a grocery list and hit the store. The next step is to set aside time to do all of the cooking. Once you have all those meals in the freezer it is so simple just to heat it up, add a salad or a side, some rolls and you have a wonderful meal in less than 30 minutes. It is worth it. The time and stress that is saves the rest of the week is amazing. The internet has many sites with information about once a week cooking plus there are lots of books out there. Now I can go take a nice walk with one of daughters before she grows up and leave the nest!

How do you mange to “do it all”?

What motivates you?

I love this phrase:

“The elevator to success is out of order. You will have to use the stairs…one step at a time.”

It reminds me that my daily consistent hard work will lead to my success!

I love summer time recipes….. Today I was talking to a lady I met about cold soups and how interesting they are to have in the summer months. She was talking about Green Bazpacho. Since I work from home, I would love to try out some new summer time recipes. Does anyone know of any unique and yummy recipes that are perfect for summer?

I don’t doubt there are many individuals with a desire to have a successful home based business for women where they can call all the shots. I am one of those people. Building a business of any kind takes a lot of hard work, determination, tenacity and patience.

What many people fail to see is that it also takes passion! Passion for your product, passion for your dream! It amazes me how many people lack that kind of passion

One of the problems that I see is that we live in a “micro-wave” society. We don’t have a problem dreaming and having a desire to have, the problem arises when we realize we have to actually “wait” for the dream to come to fruition. We don’t want to wait. We want it now, and when that doesn’t happen we fill out the application to Burger King or take a position for pay much lower than we deserve. If we could just learn to wait.

Try watching a rose bloom. If you were to watch it every second it would seem like it was never going to bloom. However, eventually, you would be looking at perfection. It would have been worth the wait

Stop settling for the right now…the work force counts on our inability to wait. They know, especially in this economy, that we will eventually come crawling to take whatever pittance they have to offer.

We need to grab a hold of our dream and run with it! Sacrifice now means fruit on our fruit tree later.

Everyone has different motivational phrases that get them moving towards their goals. What is yours?
My current phrase that I have hanging on my wall is…

Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

What is your motivational phrase?
